OOC PREFERENCES:
•CONTACT METHOD:
shobogan
•THREAD-JACKING: Go for it!
•FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE: This is fine! What's one more existential crisis, honestly.
•BACKTAGGING: Always.
•AVOIDED TOPICS: None.
•PREFERRED GENDER PRONOUN: They/them
IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•CURRENT CANON POINT: Dark X-Men 2023
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Standing at 5'7'', Madelyne has vibrant red hair, green eyes, and an athletic build. She usually keeps her hair down, and is fond of dark, dramatic lipstick. Her preferred colours are black, red and gold, often accented with pink.
Initially, she'll be wearing this almost constantly.
She smells like an average human, unless a character can smell magic (dark magic, specifically).
She never smelled like Jean, for some reason. She does sound like Jean, though her accent is more Midwest than East Coast and her voice is pitched a bit lower and huskier.
•DEMEANOUR: Once upon a time, Madelyne would stride through the world with dogged enthusiasm, comfortably confident and cheerfully blunt. At this point, she's cultivated a wicked swagger that projects lofty disdain.
•ABILITIES: At this time, her mutant abilities - telepathy and telekinesis - are capped. She can sense the presence of people around here, but not hear or manipulate thoughts or emotions. She can manipulate objects less than a pound, and hover a few inches off the ground for a few minutes.
The only magic she can use is restorative or defensive.
She was a first class pilot, and has a deep affinity for mechanics and technology in general; in the base the X-Men took from the Marauders, she handled a very advanced computer with relative ease.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: Average for a mutated human, though certain scans may reveal a very specific sort of cloning.
•CABIN INFORMATION: Her cabin is a blend between her office and her bedroom in the Limbo Embassy.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Clones used as tools, mental conditioning, memory manipulation. She won't react violently to being mistaken for Jean anymore, but she sure won't appreciate it.
IC PERMISSIONS:
•MENTAL: Yes! It will be difficult to control or influence her - she can't retaliate mentally, but she can use her considerable power to resist - but certainly not impossible.
•MIMICRY: Yes, but she will react very badly.
•VIOLENCE: Definitely. She's rusty in regards to purely physical defence, but is very much not above sucker punches or hitting below the belt.
•MAGIC: Yes, but let's talk first; she can't access most of her magic, but she is still magical, so there are all sorts of ways that could work.
•DEBATE: Please!
•OTHER / NOTES: Anyone who knew Jean Grey, either on the Barge or in canon (or via comic books), will see the resemblance immediately.
